Do you collect Nintendo Power Magazines? I do. Actually, I own every single one issue. May/June 1990 (vol# 012) issue has Super C on the cover. Inside however is a beautiful folded poster of Final Fantasy I for Nintendo NES. So I scanned it in four parts at 600dpi resolution. Then stitched them into one large image using Photoshop CS4 Photomerge function. After all said and done, image alone is 686MB in size. I slightly retouched the image, reduced it do 300dpi. Then re-sized it to 2000×2449 pix. You can download it here:

You see, lots of times you’ll stumble upon an item you have no idea about. By scavenging catalogs such as this, you will find original names, dates, item/product numbers and original pricing. Good stuff for collectors.

The Donkey Kong 2 guide I’ve scanned seen it’s better days. Covers and spine where badly damaged. I leave the restoration of the images to others & that’s why I didn’t put any watermarking on it. Just keep in mind, these posters are 3000pix wide! Will load slow on a slow connection. I might just mention, that each page actually consist of two scans. Top & bottom. I scanned each side at 600dpi. Then stitched both images using Photoshop SC4 Photomerge function. Although this renders great results, its not entirely perfect.

Hi there,

It’s been a busy time for me. Hope you noticed. Got my site somehow in order. I’d like to install few more plug-ins in a near future, but have some problems with CSS code. My CSS skills are almost none present. I’m not about to mess up my site again. Improvements in website itself will be slow, to say the least. Above images are in 600dpi so be patient when downloading.

And I’m moving to another country next spring. Big changes are happening in my life.

And when it comes to Super Nintendo scan section alone, all I can tell you that I’m currently hosting 108 images and it’s been visited 181900+ times! That’s a small accomplishment for me.
